LIBRARY ROOMS AVAILABLE FOR MEETINGS
Library classrooms on the second floor are reserved for information literacy instruction. They can be scheduled for other purposes, such as class presentation and SI sessions. Fill out the online room request form to reserve one of these rooms. Please included in your message the name and course number of the class, the instructor, exact times needed, your name and phone number. These rooms are equipped with computer, projector, VCR, DVD, cable, and white boards. Mirrors in the room can be used as well for practicing speeches. Library Classroom 2 also has a laptop cart available.
352 and 353 on the third floor can be scheduled for meetings. The room holds 10 people. For reserving this room call the Events and Scheduling Coordinator at 8286. These rooms are not outfitted with equipment.
PREP Room: The Practice, Reflect, Explore and Present Room on the 3rd floor is a space for patrons to practice giving a speech or presentation. Video record your presentation and play it back to see how it went. The room is equipped with a computer and recording system, a presentation screen, podium, and whiteboard. Use is on a first-come, first-served basis.
third-floor rooms are available on a first-come, first-served use, but cannot be reserved.
Classroom/Studio is on the first floor is equipped with 22 Macintosh computers, projector, DVD, VCR,
electronic smartboard and white board. A calendar of the list of classes for the term that use the room are posted
outside of the classroom. Additionally, full-class reservations can be made with a librarian at 319.352.8506
or by visiting the second floor service desk.
equipment and podium: If you need equipment not provided in the rooms, plan to bring it with you. The library does not have a podium.
